In model 4, I learnt evaluating websites
resources. That is unique way for me to identify the contents and purpose with the
codes at the ends of URLs because I didn't know different domains stand for different
meaning. Most of websites that I had viewed often end with “com” in China, so I
didn't realized what the URL can tell me. After I read the article “Evaluating
Web Pages:Techniques to Apply & Questions to Ask”,
I was inspired that URLs can help you quickly find what you want to know and how
much information can be trusted. Also, it remained me that I need treat those
information carefully, not only they may be false, but also they should be cited
correctly. Sometimes I was confused that I want to quote some unique perspective
from others, but I couldn't find the copyright, so I just gave up.
Also, this model taught how to use Excel. I
had used it many time in university because I was the monitor in my class, and
I have to count scores and make transcript for whole class at every end of the semester.
Sometimes, I would use Excel to collect information as well, such as phone
number, address, or others. I have to say Excel is one of my favorite tools,
and it is clear and multinational.
Another thing is the rubric design. I think a clear and flexible rubric is necessary for teacher and students, and it should be specific to build a goal for curriculum. Also, rubric should be designed to be suitable for all individual as much as possible.
